Summary
The tender concerns a non-open design competition for the new Bluebox children’s and youth leisure centre in Siegen, covering building design and landscape/open-space design. The project is for a replacement new build at the current site, with a planned start of construction from 2031 and a strong focus on the surrounding green area and user needs. The competition is limited to 15 participants and is followed by a negotiated procedure. In total, at least 4 professionals are expected, including 1 from landscape architecture. The bidder must also confirm professional indemnity insurance: at least EUR 3 million for personal injury and EUR 3 million for other damage for building design, and at least EUR 1.5 million for personal injury and EUR 250,000 for other damage for landscape/open-space design, each with a two-times annual limit.
