Summary

The tender concerns the provision of an independent second medical opinion procedure for orthopaedic conditions. The service includes preparing written second-opinion reports on the indication for and benefit of recommended orthopaedic operations, as well as assessing the risk of an unjustified expansion of indications under Section 27b of the German Social Code V. The scope also covers orthopaedic procedures covered by the applicable G-BA guideline and, additionally, further orthopaedic indications under the DAK-G statute.
