Engineering and Environmental Consultancy Services for the Rahan Flood Relief Scheme

Summary

Offaly County Council is procuring engineering and environmental consultancy services for the Rahan Flood Relief Scheme at Tullybeg, Rahan, County Offaly, on the River Clodiagh. The scheme includes about 430 metres of reinforced concrete flood defence wall, with embankments at the tie-in points, to protect residential properties and the wastewater treatment plant to the 1% AEP fluvial standard. The commission covers detailed design, hydrological and hydraulic modelling, ground investigation specification and interpretation, statutory consent support, construction-stage services, and handover and defects-period support. The works themselves will be delivered by Office of Public Works direct labour, so no works contractor is being procured under this contract.
