Tender detail
Procurement of intraocular lenses 2026
Summary
The tender concerns the supply and sale of intraocular lenses with an external warehouse arrangement, delivery of cataract and surgical sets needed for implantation, and, for one lot, the provision of the equipment needed for lens implantation. The contract is divided into 7 lots and lasts 24 months. Quantities vary by lot, and the notice indicates that the exact lot-specific requirements should be checked in the tender documents. To participate, bidders must show prior experience with similar lens supply contracts from the last 3 to 6 years, with minimum reference quantities that vary by lot. One lot also requires the use of a surgical equipment set with at least 4 ultrasound handpieces. References may be proven by one or more contracts. Initial proof can be given through a simple declaration in the ESPD. Later, the contracting authority may request certificates from the other contracting party or declarations by the bidder or a supporting entity. These documents must state the counterparty, contact details, subject matter and quantity, performance dates, and whether performance complied with the contract. If the bidder relies on another entity’s capacity, that entity must be identified in the bid and a binding commitment must be attached showing that the necessary resources will be available during contract performance.
