Collection of samples and data repository compilation for a birth cohort study

Summary

The tender concerns a research service for the Finnish Environment Institute. The contractor must meet pregnant mothers and infants under one year of age at a reception site, collect informed consent, record visit data, collect biological samples (blood, nasal mucus, urine and breast milk), guide participants in home sample collection, receive home-collected samples (dust and stool), pre-process and freeze samples, deliver samples and data to researchers, and carry out other tasks related to the collection and short-term storage of biological material. The cohort includes up to 500–650 pregnant mothers and their children. The main contract period is two years and two months, with an optional extension until the participants reach 12 years of age.
