Thin section lapping and polishing equipment and thin section/sample saw (call for tenders no. 2)

Summary

The tender concerns the purchase of one thin section lapping and polishing machine and/or one thin section/sample saw. The machine must be able to produce polished thin sections, thin sections with surface glass, polished sections and glued sections made from crushed material. The saw must be able to cut rock samples of at least 10 cm diameter and thin sections up to 50 mm x 75 mm. Delivery is due by 30 October 2026 at the latest, and both devices must come with at least a two-year warranty. The award is based on both price and quality; for the thin section/sample saw, price is the only award criterion, while the lapping and polishing equipment is also assessed on quality.
