Installation of New Biomass Heating System at Aura Leisure Centre, Letterkenny

Summary

The tender concerns the installation of a 500 kW biomass boiler at Aura Leisure Centre, including associated mechanical and electrical works, connection to the existing heating system and construction of a flue pipe. The works also include storage, loading and thermal storage systems. The contracting authority has novated the design responsibility to the main contractor, who may propose either refurbishment of the existing biomass system, which has been out of use since 2014 after basement flooding, or a new standalone system. Alterations to the existing boiler house and a new pressurisation system are also included in the scope.
