Construction and design works for a silo storage facility

The bidder’s net turnover in the construction sector had to be at least EUR 1,000,000 in each of the three financial years preceding the tender. The bidder must have, as main contractor, properly built at least two monolithic concrete silo storage facilities during the 36 months before the tender started; at least one of them had to have wall height of 3.5 metres or more from the base slab to the top and a layout with at least two bays. The bidder must also have designed at least two monolithic concrete silo storage facilities to working design stage during the 60 months before the tender started; at least one of them had to have wall height of 3.5 metres or more and a layout with at least two bays. The construction project manager must hold a valid level 6 certified construction engineer qualification or equivalent and have experience from the last 36 months in carrying out construction works on at least two monolithic concrete silo storage facilities, with at least one silo wall height of 3.5 metres from the base slab to the top. The site manager must hold a valid level 5 certified construction engineer qualification or equivalent and have experience from the last 36 months in carrying out construction works on at least two monolithic concrete silo storage facilities, with at least one silo wall height of 3.5 metres from the base slab to the top. The design project manager must hold a valid level 7 certified construction engineer qualification or equivalent and have experience from the last 36 months in designing the structures of at least two monolithic concrete silo storage facilities; at least one silo had to be designed with wall height of 3.5 metres from the base slab to the top and a capacity of at least 2 bays. For special parts of the works, a water and sewerage engineer with level 6 qualification or equivalent must be involved in the design of silage effluent drainage and collection. The bidder must have a valid environmental management system applied in the construction field that meets at least EVS-EN ISO 14001 or equivalent requirements, and a copy of the certificate must be submitted. The bid must be unconditional and must confirm compliance with the tender documents; equivalence must be explained and supporting evidence added where relevant.
